The Front Fell Off
Well that wasn't supposed to happen. The vertical beams on PIKA are a mite too flexible, and bend out of place while the upper flexures are being printed.
So the Stage falls off. Not clever. Even less clever is me attaching the X Beam to the X Frame rather than the Inside Box. Or completely forgetting to put in the walls that hold the pairs of vertical beams in place, which would probably fix the printy wobbly beamy problem. One of those "I'll put those in later ... Oooo! A squirrel!" moments.
I'm going to check out the attachment points as I have the thing printed out. A really quick check suggests the X and Y Axis Drivers will fit, but the Z Driver might be mounted a bit high because the PIKA Stage is going to be much shorter than the MAUS one. Damn. There's 280g of PLA up the swanee.
At least I made several mistakes at the same time. Er...
