Quality development

I saw these door handles on the bench today from Adrian and Nophead and thought 'photo'. From left to right: old to new. Its exciting to think about where this trend leads!

Hi eD, great photo to get an idea of reprap quality evolution!

Could you explain a bit what happened to improved so much the quality of the print?

"Could you explain a bit what happened to improved so much the quality of the print?"

That's easy. While most folks are trying to get a Darwin or some other kind of reprap machine together and working, Nophead simply bought a CNC positioning table and attached a Mk II extruder to it. He then let everybody else work on the printer developments and concentrated completely getting control of print quality and warping. As you can see by his door handle on the far right, he's made a lot of progress on solving that very important problem. :-)

it appears that the handles are made of different materials, i.e. (left to right): PCL?, HDPE, ABS

this would have a large effect on the achievable resolution. how about some new handles made from different materials for comparison?
