Test piece with bend alloy deposited (by the axis) into the channels. The first runs were about getting the co-ordination right. The final run (top channel) made a continuous deposition.

It's hard to get a sense of scale from the pictures. The last track is 2 cm long, so I'm guessing the plate is 10 cm by 5 cm and the channels are 0.2 cm wide and about 0.05 cm deep. Is that about right?
Some more questions:
What was the temperature of the metal when it was deposited?
What material are the tray and head assembly?
What type of RP machine was used to produce these parts?

The heating jacket is set to 90 deg C. The tray and head were both made by RP from ABS. They were made by a Stratasys Dimension.
